Forest management to Achieve Sustainable Forestry Policy in Indonesia

Abstract Due to the uncertainty of forest areas in Indonesia, it often creates conflicts with various parties an interest areas, such as communities, institutions that have forestry business permits, and government. Changes area occur from time due conversion for non-forestry sector development, encroachment, fire. The government has issued Government Regulation Number 23 2021 about administration relation this issue. However, law not been effective safeguarding forests damage caused by humans, fires, natural disasters, pests, diseases, nor preserved protected state, community, individual rights wooded property. method utilized study is empirical legal research employing sociological, conceptual, statutory approaches. specific objective identify ideal concept utilization pro-environment, pro-development, people-centered so sustainable development-supporting policies can be considered. findings reveal management largely dependent on diversity quality enabling policies, well institutional conditions serve basis good governance. Forest relies heavily collaboration between government, commercial sector, community.
